When to obtain them

Reported. The independent weapon guide places Saber/Fire in Chapter 1, Pistol in 2, Rapier/Blunderbuss in 3, Stasis in 4, Musket in 5, Claymore in 6 and Shield in 8. This is an attributed chapter checklist, not a verified chest route.

The demo supplied later gear early. Use the retail chapter checklist when checking progression.

Defense and upgrades

Reported. Fextralife describes limited Rapier blocking and a Claymore unable to parry. Read the equipped weapon instructions before applying a Saber tactic to another blade.

Confirmed. Steam separately rewards maxing a melee weapon, firearm and transmutation. No farming route or maximum damage value is established here.
